•  Please call the Church office with names of people who need prayers for healing and support. Names are read during the Prayers of the people for two weeks. Please see the Monthly Newsletter for a more extensive list.

•  Seekers and St. Peter's Weekly Summer Spirituality Series Thursday Nights. You don't have to shelve your spiritual life because of all the activity in the resort area this summer. Each Thursday night, starting on June 5 and ending August 28, there will be free weekly spiritual sessions in the parish hall from 7 to 8:30 pm and open to all. The series is designed for reflection, dialog and prayer. To refresh the body, ice cream will be served after each talk..

June 19th topic: Hymns in the Celtic Tradition. Many loved hymns in the Christian faith are rooted in Celtic tradition. These songs, derived from Ireland and Scotland , have withstood the test of time and are still popular today. George Bayley, will offer insight into Celtic Hymns on Thursday evening, June 19 th from 7 to 8:30 pm . This free session will be held in the parish hall of St. Peter's.
June 26th topic: An Introduction to Judaism . Judaism is one of the oldest religious practices, and has influenced the faith and traditions of other religions, such as Christianity and Islam. On Thursday, June 26 th from 7 to 8:30 pm , Beth Cohen, lay leader from the Seaside Jewish Community will provide insight into the basics of the Jewish religion and introduce participants to the history of how Judaism began, basic Jewish beliefs, texts that guide Judaism, and denominations within Judaism. This free session will be held in the parish hall. Ice cream and fellowship will follow the discussion.
July 3rd topic: Worship with Alternative Music (WAM) .

•  The Art Show committee needs to borrow three free-standing yard canopies for show day. Anyone who has a spare canopy to offer, please contact Jen Mason at 226.8335. Thanks!

•  It's time to put up our Art Show yard signs ! If you have a home or business in a highly visible location, please stop by at coffee hour or at the parish office to pick them up. Take two if you're on a road where folks will be passing by quickly – giving them a second chance to get all the details! “ Within this vale / of toil and sin / your head grows bald / but not your chin / Burma-Shave” Thanks for your help!

•  Lay Spirituality Group– June 18th at 6 p.m. in the Sacristy will be our monthly meeting. We will be using Spiritual Classics Edited by Richard Foster. Everyone is Welcome.

• The office has 3 DVD copies of Daniel Karslake's For the Bible Tells Me So. This provocative, entertaining film concisely reconciles homosexuality and a literal interpretation of Biblical scripture. Parishoners are invited to come to the Church office to sign one out for viewing at home.

•  SEEKERS , Spiritual Treasures at St. Peter's Square is located in the Parish Hall. Open Sat. 10 am-4 pm , Sun. 9 am-3 pm , Mon. & Tues. 12-3 pm, Closed Wed., Thurs. 6-9 pm & Fri. 2-8 pm. For more information go to www.seekerslewes.com. All net proceeds are donated to those in need.
